In 2009-10 the WELS scheme was independently reviewed. One of the recommendations of this review was that Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards Officials Group should develop and agree to a three-year strategic plan and budget for approval by the Standing Council on Environment and Water.
This strategic plan has been produced in response to the independent review recommendation. The plan provides an action plan, timeline, costings, performance measures and responsibilities for the next three years of the scheme.
